Mission

Over the years, the ideals of America have been distorted into a watered down concept of a bourgeoisie dream of sameness. The American Dream, once meaning the idea of making a better life in a place free from opression, it has come to mean a white picket fence, 2.2 kids, and a lifestyle of keeping up with the Joneses. It has also come to mean a hatred, fear, or aversion towards anything that isn't a part of this dream, kindling dislike towards outside peoples, languages, customs, and ideas, and breeding outright nationalism.
This is not how the men and women who suffered to create this country wanted it to be. Immigration, the movement that made our country great, providing the right blending of ideas and cultures to develop unprecedented systems, products and ideas, is now frowned upon. "Give me your weak, your hungry, your poor", has decided not to accept them.
As an American blogger, I consider it my duty to stand up for the rights of American immigrants, workers, soldiers, children, and citizens at large, in order to protect the true ideals of our nation, even if that means opposing popular opinion. My duty also includes fostering open discussion. Not only is discussion the number one source of innovation, but our first amendment right. I've used my first amendment today. Have You?
